Dabas mācības stundā 4.klase /Kristena/ strādāja Wakelet platformā – pētīja, kura ir karstākā eTwinning projekta ‘Sniegpulkstenīšu detektīvi’ valsts, salīdzināja, pierakstīja tabulā, bet pirmsskola un 2.klase devās ārā
Radošo darbu stundā /paspējām!/ pirkstu veiklību attīstījām un veidojām māmiņām dāvaniņas – rokassprādzes –

In the Latvian History and Social Studies lesson, grades 2–4 worked with teacher Anželika to learn about significant events for the Latvian people /see photos/. Meanwhile, the preschool group with teacher Ingrīda navigated the mazes of Latvian language learning:
We continued creatively during the lunch break: using cherry tomatoes, cream cheese, black olives, lettuce, and cheese crackers, we created “Ladybugs in the Greenery.” Those who like all the ingredients, of course, enjoyed the full flavor! Others could choose their favorites. The most important part of the process was learning new words and “chilling out” in Latvian!
We kept the momentum going with more activities! First, we went on a Leprechaun’s gold coin hunt! After St. Patrick’s Day, he had scattered all his coins across the room and hallway. But—did anyone doubt our students would find them?! They found them! Every single one! And had a treat! They were chocolate “gold coins.”
Afterward, we needed to move a bit more. We held a potato spoon race! Why potatoes? Because Ireland is the land of potatoes (not just the Emerald Isle or the Green Isle); it’s the most popular and widely grown vegetable, used even in competitions! This time, “fast slowness” won—everyone carefully carried their potatoes on spoons without dropping them! Yes! We also had the activity “What’s hidden under the green cup?” There were sweets and other interesting items like glitter and markers.
In the Latvian Language lesson, grades 2 and 4 learned about St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Ireland and around the world, as well as Mother’s Day traditions in Ireland:
In Nature studies, 4th grade (Kristena) worked on the Wakelet platform, researching which country is the warmest in the eTwinning project “Snowdrop Detectives,” comparing data, and recording it in a table. Meanwhile, the preschool and 2nd grade went outside for a spring treasure hunt! They found everything and practiced the names of all their finds!
During Creative Arts (we made it!), we developed finger dexterity by making gifts for moms—bracelets for Mother’s Day in Ireland!
We even found time to look at the Twinspace project, evaluate it, and write comments!
